Light of the World Tabernacle has dedicated themselves to making sure the light of God is present in the community.
Going outside of the Camp
Jesus was the Lord’s Holy Temple on the move. We in New Testament times are often moving with some Old Testament ideas. The real temple of God are those who have His Spirit living inside them. God does not live in a building made with hands. He lives in His people. We do not come to a tabernacle or temple to come into His Presence. His presence lives in us, and we are to be like Jesus, going about and doing good and healing all those that are oppressed by the devil. (Acts 10:38) Hebrews 13:12-14 (Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto Him without the camp, bearing His reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.) It is our goal that every true Christian carries God’s presence daily and releases it to all. Therefore we reach out to serve in the nursing home. We serve at City Hall, Sheriff’s Department, Police Department. Serving with them in our community giving out stuffed backpacks for back to school. Working in parks and with code enforcement to make our communities better. We release the Lord’s authority in serving. Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve. We do not forsake our coming together so we can consider one another to provoke one another to love and good works. How can we serve you? Proverbs 11:11 tells us the city is exalted by the blessing of the upright. Jeremiah 29:7 tells us to seek God for the welfare of our city and in the city’s welfare we will find our welfare. Love Jesus, get empowered by Him, and go serve in His strength and ability that they will behold our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. Remember we are called to be a blessing that we may inherit a blessing!
