It is great how the Lord has put His body together. We are here together because we have heard His voice just like the great army in Ezekiel. It says His bone came together to His bone, so it is with the body of Christ. The couple we are speaking of this week are the Hurley team. Richard or as we know him is (Rickey). Rickey is known for his great laugh, when the Lord begins to move. Some say amen, others shout for joy, Rickey has a laugh that says I am excited and happy the Lord is moving in our midst. Of course, he does more than just laugh. He often brings the pastor tea at our dinners or even better fresh mullet or crab when possible. Julie gets out with him on those good afternoons to put fish in the cooler when Rickey is throwing his net. Rickey is our friend with a laugh and a smile. Greater than these things he is a faithful minister at the local nursing home. He along with Margie ministers in word and song. For years he has been faithful to go serve at the nursing home on Sunday morning before coming to get ministered to himself. This couple has a great love for Jesus and bring such joy to us all. Kathy and I have served, played, prayed, laughed, ate, and even fished with this couple as well as others. We love ya’ll. Ps, you just must try Rickey’s smoked mullet with BBQ, get it hot and it is unbeatable.
